King's Cross will provide the best "front door" in central London.
Up to 2,000 homes and serviced apartments are planned, with 950 of the homes available for open market sale or rent. They will include a mix of studios; one, two, three and four bed family homes - with up to 200 in the listed gasholder structures.
The remaining homes will offer a range of affordable housing options. They include shared ownership, shared equity and other 'intermediate' homes for sale and/or rent, and social housing - including extra care homes for the frail/elderly. Many of the affordable homes will be targeted at local people and be transferred, upon completion, to our affordable housing partner, One Housing Group. Approximately 44% of the total number of homes will be affordable.
In addition, there are 650 student units planned, the first phase of which is scheduled to complete in mid 2013.
All homes will be thoughtfully planned, intelligently designed and benefit from the development's managed public realm and fantastic open space - comprising hard and soft landscaping, water features and public art.

The first residential building on plot R4 has commenced construction and will be complete Q3 2012.
