Over 40% of the development will be world-class public open space, with the highest standards in design, management and maintenance.

Our aim is to create places and spaces that will inspire, excite and inform. Spaces that encourage play, performance and perhaps just taking a moment out of a busy day.

Ten new parks and squares, 20 new streets, urban ‘home zones’, three new bridges and more than 400 mature trees represent “a real step change in the quality of the public realm at King’s Cross with high quality and genuinely public new streets and open spaces”.
(Camden Council, March 2006)

The development will promote pedestrian movement, establish new connections and integrate with the surrounding city.

Access to the Regent’s Canal will be improved, including terraced steps up to Granary Square; a new square for London with stunning pavilion buildings; dramatic fountains and the ability to hold large scale activities and events.

Once complete, our estate management company will manage the parks and public spaces. The principal trafficked streets will be adopted by Camden Council.

King’s Cross intends to have the safest and cleanest environment in Central London.
