In the second year of the residency programme, we decided to appoint a curator alongside an artist in order to enhance interpretation and communication of the artist's work to the wide ranging audience who pass through the site. After an open competition, Graham Hudson was appointed as artist in residence, working alongside Ben Borthwick of Butchers Curators. Graham is producing a sculpture a day and a series of texts exploring aspects of the site. These will contribute to the exhibition he is planning to put on in the German Gymnasium in October 2010. Ben and Graham are also producing six films exploring the role of an artist on site. These will be shown during the exhibition.
