Refurbishment of the building is already well advanced. The building has been cleared, foundations constructed and a brand new steel frame, insulated standing seam roof and roof lights have been installed. The principal shell of the building has therefore been completed.

The design of the frame creates a very flexible space within, allowing for a range of different layouts.

The Victorian brick façades, including the northern gable and West Granary Office over looking the main square at the southern end, are to be retained and new shop fronts and windows will be installed into the existing arches and apertures as part of the next stage of construction.
